Welcome to Spedding Dental Clinic,  an independent family owned general dental/referral Practice in the heart of Carlisle City Centre.

Founded by Ali and Jack Spedding who moved to Carlisle in August 2000 and bought the practice from its existing owner. The building has been used to treat dental patients for over 100 years during both World Wars, and we are proud to say that we continue to care for the people of Carlisle and the surrounding county still today.

Our team are dedicated to delivering outstanding dental care, along with exceptional customer service with the most modern digital technology.

Our team of highly experienced dentists and specialists aim to provide a comprehensive dental service that is not only friendly but modern and forward thinking. It is because of this, we believe, Spedding Dental Clinic provides our patients with the best possible customer care.

Our practice is equipped with all the latest dental technology. We feel it is of the utmost importance that Spedding Dental Clinic has a healthy, positive working environment, as this will help to promote the high standards of customer care we wish to achieve for all our patients. We have evolved, grown and changed with modern times and we are delighted to say that Spedding Dental Clinic is known locally and regionally as one of the ‘best professional services’ Dental Teams in Cumbria. Not only by patients who visit and experience our exceptional customer care & outstanding clinical skills but by other Dental Professionals who visit us year after year at our Annual Post Graduate Training Event.

Spedding Dental Clinic now has nine dentists, a combination of specialists and general practitioners alongside dedicated support & administrative staff.

We excel at providing our patients with the highest quality family & specialist dentistry and demonstrated this by continuing to hold our Excel Accredited status with one of the worlds leading Dental care plan providers, DENPLAN.

OUR JOURNEY

2000

Jack & Ali bought the practice.

Returning to their home county of Cumbria.
2001

Full renovation & modernisation of the building.

Continuing our dedication to the Care Quality Commission Guidelines.
2003

We became a specialist referral practice.

We now have four dentists taking referrals from outside practices
2007

The practice joined Denplan .

To give patients greater flexibility of care.
2008

The practice was awarded Denplan ‘Excel ‘ status due to outstanding clinical care.

We continue to still be awarded it today!
2010

Digital radiography was introduced.

Reducing exposure to radiation.
2012

Our annual post graduate training day was launched.

Training dental practitioners from all over the county.
2015

The practice was awarded ‘Best Professional Services Team’ by Carlisle Living.

A recognition we are proud of.
2017

Our team, skills and services continue to grow.

Maintaining our Accreditations and Vision for the practice.
2018

In house CT scanner installed

Complementing the digital imaging already installed and has its very own room within the practice which enables our dentists to deliver an immediate high-quality diagnostic service.
2020

Celebrating 20 years.
