Current Available Positions

Qualified Dental Nurse

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a fully trained, qualified and experienced dental nurse with a professional but sympathetic manner. Candidate should be well presented, enthusiastic, punctual and be keen to undertake further training in additional skills.

Position: Part-time/Full time.

Hours: 8.15am – 5.30pm. Monday to Friday.

GDC Registration required.

Successful candidates will be responsible for providing a high standard of service to patients in the following:-

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to reassure patients and create a friendly atmosphere in the dental clinic.
  • Assisting dentists and other dental care professionals in the practice.
  • Careful sterilising of dental instruments to ensure sterile conditions.
  • Ensuring that the Practice Health & Safety policy is adhered to.
  • Taking accurate notes from dentists dictation for a patient record.
  • Explaining to patients what their treatment entails.
  • Experience on reception, welcoming patients, booking in then directing them to the waiting room.
  • Making appointments and taking payments.
  • Supervising trainee dental nurses.
  • Carry out digital radiography and CT scanning.
  • Assisting the Hygienist & Therapist.
  • Preparing the surgery for dental treatment.
  • Using dental software package to input future appointments.

An excellent package of pay and benefits will be negotiated with the successful candidate. References will be required.

Decontamination Nurse

We are looking for an organised, motivated individual to work alongside the dental team to manage the daily running of our dedicated Decontamination Room.

Position: Full time (4 days min per week to inc a Monday & Friday).

Hours: 8.15am – 5.30pm.

No experience necessary as full training will be given.

The ideal applicant should be self-motivated, exceptionally organised, punctual, be able to work unsupervised, and have excellent communication skills.

Duties will include:

  • Cleaning & preparing dental instruments in accordance with practice procedures and healthcare guidelines on Infection Prevention & Control.
  • Cleaning & maintaining decontamination room and equipment in accordance with manufacturers instructions, practice procedures, and healthcare guidelines on Infection prevention & control.
  • Other clerical duties as required.

Successful candidates will be required to:

  • Carry out in-house and online Infection Control & decontamination training.
  • Attending practice basic life support training.
  • Agree to be Hepatitis B vaccinated.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
